JPG · PNG · WEBP · GIF · BMP & more

Rounding an image's corners clips it into a rounded rectangle with a transparent background outside the shape — the same look used for app icons, avatars, and modern card-style photo layouts.

Common uses

App-icon style images

Give a square logo or photo the same soft-corner look as an app icon.

Avatars & profile photos

Round a profile picture for sites that don't do it automatically.

Cards & thumbnails

Match a rounded-corner design system used across a site or presentation.

How to do it

  1. 1Drop your image into the box above — a moderate corner radius is applied by default.
  2. 2Check the before/after preview (the result is a transparent PNG).
  3. 3Open “Adjust manually” to make the corners more or less rounded.
  4. 4Download the rounded PNG.

Questions

Why is the output always PNG?

The clipped-away corners need to be transparent, and only PNG (and WebP) support transparency — JPG doesn't, so it isn't offered here.

Can I make it a full circle?

Yes — set the corner radius to at least half the image's shorter side and the shape becomes a circle (on a square source) or a pill (on a rectangle).
