Convert Image Format

or drop files (JPG · PNG · WEBP · GIF · BMP & more)

Converting an image changes its format — for example JPG to PNG, or PNG to WebP — without changing the picture. Forms often accept only one format (usually JPG), while a transparent logo needs PNG and the web prefers the smaller WebP. This tool swaps between JPG, PNG and WebP in your browser, so you upload the format that’s actually accepted.

Common uses

Form requires JPG

Convert a PNG screenshot or WebP photo to JPG when a portal only accepts JPEG.

Need transparency

Convert to PNG when you need a see-through background (logos, signatures).

Smaller for the web

Convert to WebP to cut file size while keeping quality for websites.

Fix ‘unsupported format’

Turn a HEIC-exported or odd-format image into a standard JPG or PNG.

Consistent uploads

Standardise a batch of mixed images to one format before submitting.

Convert to a format your other software or template accepts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does converting change quality?

Converting between formats is generally lossless for PNG and near-lossless for WebP. Saving to JPG applies compression, so it’s best for photos rather than sharp text or line art.

Will PNG keep my transparent background?

Yes. PNG and WebP support transparency; JPG does not — converting a transparent image to JPG fills the background with white.

Is HEIC supported?

If your browser can open the file, the tool can convert it. On most devices exporting to JPG first is the safest route.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Conversion happens in your browser and the file stays on your device.
