Rotating turns an image in 90° steps; flipping mirrors it horizontally or vertically. It's the quick fix for a phone photo that saved sideways or upside down, or a scan that came out mirrored.

Common uses

Sideways phone photos

Fix a photo that saved rotated 90° or 180° from how you shot it.

Scanned documents

Straighten a page that went into the scanner the wrong way.

Mirrored scans

Flip a photo that came out reversed (common with some scanner and webcam apps).

Design layouts

Flip an image to face the other direction for a layout.

How to do it

  1. 1Drop your image into the box above.
  2. 2It's auto-straightened if the file's own orientation tag suggests it needs it, otherwise shown as-is.
  3. 3Open “Adjust manually” to rotate 90°/180°/270° or flip horizontally/vertically.
  4. 4Download the corrected image.

Questions

Does rotating reduce quality?

No — rotating and flipping just reposition pixels, nothing is re-compressed beyond the final save.

Can I rotate by a custom angle, like 15°?

This tool does clean 90° steps (the common case for sideways photos). For odd angles, use Crop afterwards to trim the result.
