Scan Filter turns a photo of a document — taken on a desk, in your hand, at an angle — into a clean, flat, print-ready page. It auto-detects the page in the photo, crops away everything around it, and applies a CamScanner-style filter.

Common uses

Photographed documents

Turn a phone photo of a form, certificate, or letter into a clean, upload-ready scan.

Notes and whiteboards

Clean up a photo of handwritten notes or a whiteboard for sharing.

Receipts & records

Get a crisp, readable copy of a receipt or paper record.

How to do it

  1. 1Drop a photo of a document into the box above.
  2. 2The page is auto-detected and cropped from its background, then cleaned with the “Magic” filter by default.
  3. 3Open “Adjust manually” to switch filters — B&W is best for text, Grayscale and Lighten for tricky lighting.
  4. 4Download the cleaned scan.

Questions

What if the page isn't detected correctly?

If the tool isn't confident the photo contains a clear page edge, it leaves the image uncropped rather than guessing — you'll still get the filter applied to the full photo.

Which filter should I use?

“Magic” gives a clean colour document look for most photos. “B & W” is best when you need crisp, high-contrast text, like for a printed copy.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Both the page detection and the filter run entirely in your browser.
